Newly Qualified Paramedic

Summary

Career progression

The NQP Programme is over a maximum period of 24 months, evidencing achievements and elements in the consolidation of learning programme you will then progress to Qualified Paramedic.

HART Paramedic

Summary

As a HART Paramedic you will respond to a variety of adverse and protracted incidents. You will deliver paramedic interventions through one of ten HART capability areas:

  • Hazardous Materials (HazMat
  • )Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and explosives (CBRNe) environment
  • Marauding Terrorist Attack (MTA)Safe Working at Height (SWaH)
  • Confined spaces
  • Unstable terrain
  • Water operations
  • Support to Security Operations (SSO)
  • High Consequence Infectious Disease (HCID)
  • All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV).


As well as these core operational capabilities HART Paramedics have enhanced clinical skills.

Trainee Specialist Practitioners

Summary

Trainee position that will prepare the candidate to become responsible for the assessment (including remote triage based at Local Clinical Cells/Clinical Hubs) care, treatment and transportation of patients as an operational practitioner, working in a variety of locations such as ambulances, response vehicles, patients’ homes, Local Clinical Cells/Clinical Hubs, primary care settings, minor injury units and accident and emergency departments.
